河南财经学院工商管理学院的前身是工业经济系，始建于1984年，是河南财经学院成立最早的五个系之一。现有企业管理和技术经济及管理两个硕士点（省级重点学科硕士点）；有工商管理、市场营销、管理科学三个本科专业和工商企业管理（中外合作办学）一个专科专业。工商管理是河南省重点资助一级学科，工商管理专业还是国家级特色专业，管理学、市场营销两门课为省级精品课程。二十多年来，工商管理学院为社会输送了大批优秀人才，他们在各自的岗位上都发挥着积极的作用，相当一部分毕业生都成为了社会的中坚力量，在社会上产生了良好的反响。目前在校研究生、本专科生有1400余人。

工商管理学院现有教职工67人，其中专职教师55人。专职教师中正教授11人，副教授16人，具有博士学位18人（其中博士后3人，在读博士后3人），在读博士10人，专职教师中具有硕士、博士学位以上的教师占90%以上。工商管理学院现有一大批在学术届、企业届知名的专家、学者。

工商管理学院现设有两个硕士研究生导师组，工商管理、管理科学、营销管理、技术经济及管理四个教研室和一个资料室，还有工业经济、企业管理咨询、工商管理、彩票、技术经济与管理、技术经济与创新、东亚问题、企业战略与企业文化八个研究所。

The precursor of the School of Business Administration (SBA) is the Department of Industrial Economics. It was found as one of the five first established departments of HUFE in 1984. SBA is running two Masters Programs in Business Administration, and Technological Economics and Management (both are awarded the “Distinguished Program” by Henan government), three Bachelor programs in Business Administration, Marketing and Management Science, and one Diploma program in Business Administration (joint with Cork University of Ireland). Our first grade subject in Business Administration is one of the most supported by Henan government. Bachelor program in Business Administration is awarded the “Distinguished Program” at the national level, and Management and Marketing are awarded the “Most Competitive Modules” in Henan. Over the last 20 years, graduates from SBA have achieved great success in their jobs, and have became part of the backbone of the Chinese society. SBA is now a home of 1,400 postgraduate and undergraduate students.

SBA has currently 67 staff, which includes 55 academic staff, 11 professors, 16 assistant professors, 18 with a Doctorial degree ( 3 with Post Doctorial research experience, and 3 are doing Post Doctorial research), and 10 are doing a PhD. Among the academic staff, 90% has a PhD or Masters degree, and many of them are well known scholars and experts in both academia and business circle.

SBA comprises four departments (i.e. Business Administration, Management Science, Marketing Management and Technological Economics and Management) and one reference room. It has two Supervisors Teams of Masters Students, and our research and activities is organized by eight research centers, ranging from Industrial Economics, Consulting in Business Administration, Business Administration, Lottery, to Technological Economics and Management, Technological Economics and Innovation, Issues in Eastern Asia and Corporate Strategy and Culture.
